Every year the club runs a number of multisport events to encourage everyone to participate, whether it's your 1st time or your 100th!
Our annual sprint triathlon is one of the longest running in the country and always gets a fantastic response from everyone who participates. It has been rated "excellent" by the British Triathlon Federation and in 2021 will be operated in line with sustainable principles.
This year will be our 35th triathlon and with a break due to Covid in 2020 we want this to be an event to remember. Some of our "class of '86" will be back to compete. These are athletes that entered the very first local triathlon in 1986, mostly in their budgie smugglers and who regularly come back to participate!
In October, we operate the extremely popular Aquathon, giving everyone that last chance to squeeze in a quick Sunday morning Swim/Run race, before the season slows down and the winter sets in. More details to follow on the 2021 event soon.
And as September draws to a close we run the East Grinstead 10k, which is dedicated to Andy Ripley OBE, who died of prostate cancer in 2010 and who was a huge inspiration through his sporting endeavors across many generations.
All proceeds from this race go to charity and it regularly attract 400+ runners. Suitable for all abilities, you will be cheered around the mainly flat off road course by supporters, marshalls, friends, walkers and the odd pedestrian.
A hugely enjoyable and friendly race.
