WELCOME TO OUR 2019 EAST GRINSTEAD TRIATHLON
12th MAY 2019
EVENT SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED!
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE INVOLVED
Our 34th anniversary seemed to flow like a dream, lots of smiling faces, families and children enjoying themselves, club support and rivalry, personal goals being achieved, awareness raised for charities and even a surprise visit from East Grinstead's outgoing Mayor - Cllr Rex Whittaker! We have received great feedback from British Triathlon on the event organisation and support from our marshals (who are all EG Tri Club members) and once again we are proud to receive excellent feedback regarding support during the race excellent - this is something we really strive to achieve and its the foundation of our event. This year we also paid attention to our environmental impact, replacing plastic bottled water with boxed water cartons, along with biodegradable race numbers and segregated recycling bins. We also held our inaugural Aquabike and introduced the Club Waves in the Sprint race. It was fantastic to see clubs race with each other, it really added to the atmosphere of the day and if you were one of those taking part, I hope it was an enjoyable experience for you.
Congratulations to our fabulous and worthy winners!

Thank you also to EG Tri club member James from Sustainable Print Co for providing all of our printed materials on biodegradable, recyclable paper and to club members Dave Pawsey (DeepSocial Media) and Juhanna Kirk from SAIMMA Construction and Development.
Finally, we really hope to see you again in May 2020. It was great to see so many returning faces this year - with an almost 50/50 gender split too! If this was your first Triathlon and want to know more about training, with like minded people then please feel free to contact us for a chat, or pop down to one of our Saturday morning sessions. Just like our race, we welcome all abilities and are here to help.
